The Nuggets, who are 2-7, will be taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight, who are 5-3. The Cavs are absolutely on fire right now, and the Nuggets are absolutely not. The teams come into this one in completely different situations, and the Nuggets are in big trouble. LeBron James has gotten his squad on track and looking like one of the best teams in the league as expected.

The Nuggets are going to need to score. A lot. They give up the third most amount of points in the league right now, and the Cavs can score a ton of points. The Nuggets are going to need to keep pace with Cleveland and put up a decent amount of points if they want a chance to win this game.

LeBron James missed the team shoot-around today with a cold, but is expected to play tonight. He is averaging 27 points per game to go along with 6 rebounds and 6 assist. He is a problem, and is only getting better as his new team gets used to each other. James is not the only star the Nuggets will need to be careful of. Ty Lawson is going to need to figure out how to stop Kyrie Irving, and Kenneth Faired is going to need to protect the rim.

The keys to the Nuggets winning the game tonight are simple. Play hard, good defense, and score a lot of points. It might sound silly, but the Nuggets need to simplify things. They need to get back to having fun on the court, and just play. The Cavs are a tough team to play any night, but it won’t be any easier playing them at home in Cleveland.

As much as I’d love to pick the Nuggets to win this game, I just don’t see it. They are playing completely dysfunctional right now, and the Cavs are really clicking on all cylinders. I’m predicting a Nuggets loss by a score of 121-105. The Nuggets will need their bench to play well if they want to have a chance, but the way that has gone this season, it seems like a long stretch.
