If you ever had any question about whether or not Alonzo Gee could dunk, put it to rest. The man can throw down!
During Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls, Alonzo Gee had two monster dunks in the fourth quarter that proved the back-up forward could contribute on the offensive end of the floor.
The first was a drive and dunk that rattled the rim:
And the second was a flush after receiving the pass on the baseline:
Both dunks came while the game was still contested, so Gee’s efforts weren’t just for show, they contributed to the win. He’s proved he can play some defense, and these spectacular highlights confirm he has some game on the offensive end of the floor as well. Gee isn’t likely to see increased minutes at the 3-spot as long as the Nuggets stay healthy, but it’s good to know that if anyone does miss time for any reason, Gee looks to be a more than capable stand-in.
