Kenneth Faried is definitely capitalizing on his moment in the spotlight following his outstanding performance with Team USA this summer. He’s been front and center in much of the advertising from the Denver Nuggets, and he’s made more than his fair share of appearances in ads and promotions from the NBA. Today, Faried and the NBA premiered their latest ad for the league’s line of Swingman Jerseys, and it features a pretty great take on Faried’s “Manimal” nickname.

Here’s the ad, which is equal parts hilarious and bananas:

The outfit Faried’s swingman wears in the fake fragrance commercial is amazing. If Faried doesn’t rock that in pre-game warmups at some point this season, I’m going to file a complaint with the league.

What do you think of the new spot, Nuggets fans? And are you happy to see Faried getting some love from the league? I’m never going to complain about one of the team’s players being featured in national NBA advertising, as it benefits the team and raises the profile of the franchise. I just wish Faried wasn’t having such a slow start to the season so far.

Either way, good for Faried for scoring the high-profile spot.
