The Oklahoma City Thunder won their sixth straight game against the Nuggets in Denver on Wednesday night, coasting to a 124-102 victory. Oklahoma City is now 54-24 on the year and clinches the third seed in the Western Conference with this win. Denver falls to 32-47, taking one step closer to a top five pick. The Thunder used a 23-2 run to blow the game open in the second quarter, never looking back from there. They dominated the Nuggets on the glass 55-38, getting 25 of those rebounds from just Russell Westbrook and Enes Kanter. Oklahoma City also annilihated Denver from beyond the arc, shooting 45.4 percent from the three-point line and outscoring the Nuggets by 15 points from the perimeter.

Durant and Westbrook continued their dominance over the Nuggets. The duo combined for 39 points, 20 assists, 19 rebounds and 5 steals while shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three-point line. Westbrook finished with his 17th triple-double in this one, becoming the first player since Magic Johnson to accomplish the feat. This was also the fifth triple-double the Nuggets have allowed this season. Enes Kanter was also great for the Thunder, finishing with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. He shot a ridiculous 64.2 percent from the field, having a field day scoring on the low block against Denver’s second unit.

Nothing went right for Denver in this one, they lost pretty much every statistical category you can imagine here to the Thunder. The lone bright spot for the Nuggets was Gary Harris, who led the team in scoring with 17 points. D.J. Augustin also had a nice outing against his former team, finishing with 15 points and hitting a 67-foot heave to end the first quarter. This marked the Thunder’s first season sweep of the Nuggets since 1997-98, when the franchise was still the Sonics.

Player of The Game: Russell Westbrook – 13 PTS, 14 REB, 12 AST, 2 STL, 5 TO, 4-9 FG, 2-4 3PT, 3-5 FT

What’s Next for Denver: The Nuggets (32-47) will welcome the San Antonio Spurs (65-12) to the Pepsi Center on Friday, April 8th.
