Chauncey Billups resume speaks for itself. The Nuggets should consider a role for Chauncey when the time is right.

Chauncey Billups will have a role in the NBA sooner rather then later. Orlando has already showed interst in providing a coaching role for the Denver raised Chauncy Billups. Billups entertained the Orlando offer but it never escalated any further. During Chauncey’s time in the NBA, the former Pistons legend, Chauncey Billups, was a great leader that believed in himself and his teammates. Mr. big shot and his gritty Pistons went on to shock the world in 2004, beating the Lakers in 5 games in the NBA Finals. It was considering one of the greatest upsets in US Pro sports history. Especially after Tayshaun’s magnificent block:

Tayshaun Prince with what could be considered as the greatest block in Playoff history; switching all the moment to the scrappy Pistons going on shock the world in the Finals.

"“They may have had better individual players, but we always felt we were a better team,” Billups said after clinching game 5 in the NBA finals in 2004."

Chauncey Billups was named Finals MVP posting averages of 21 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists on 51-47-92 shooting splits. It was a combination of determination and teamwork which powered there way to become champions. Billups is a former 5X All-Star, a champion, and most importantly a shining light on and off the court. When Denver acquired Chauncey, his presence was felt mightily on the court. Just being under pressure in critical situations and finding different ways to contribute, as well as his ability to lead a team in the biggest moment, Chauncey Billups would be valued in the Nuggets front office.

Billups recently joined Woj on the Vertical Podcast to discuss many things including his time spent in Denver. Billups expressed his feelings about the transition from Denver to New York even though Chauncey; he was included in the blockbuster deal which fulfilled Carmelo Anthony‘s dream of playing for his home town. He said this:

"” I was never not one day angry at Melo. Billups said. I knew that obviously the only reason why I was traded is because Melo wanted to leave. Of course they wanted me because they knew I could get the best out of Melo.”"

Mr. Big Shot did a good job of implementing that throughout the course of his career. “Every single day man, I try really hard to show these guys the right way to lead them” Billups justified. Billups described his last stint in Denver as one of the most joyous times in his career being only a few inbounds away from going on to the finals.

So, when Chauncey Billups was included the trade to New York he could of easily been upset at Melo, instead he was still willing to go to a different team- a unfamiliar environment for Billups- but he still looked at the situation in a different prospective, as he continued to show Melo and his teammates the way to become a winner which says a lot about the kind of person Chauncey is.

"“My relationship with Melo was great since day one, the first we even talked about what needed to happen. For one, he didn’t know what needed to happen because all he knew was getting to the first round and put out. He didn’t know how to win.”"

The Billups family  and the Kroenke’s are close and stay in contact, that’s a good sign. Also, Emmanuel Mudiay looks at Chauncey Billups as a big brother, and this is extremely good for Billups cause.

"“Me and Chauncey Billups, we’ve got to hang out this summer some,” Mudiay said. “He’s like my big brother now. I’ve talked to him, go to him for advice too. I’ve talked to a lot of people, but me and Chauncey really have good a chemistry-type thing, a relationship-type thing, little brother big brother, So I could talk to him about almost everything which he’s helping me with it.”"
