Sports Illustrated is a highly regarded sports site, and they recently graded the offseason of the Denver Nuggets and every Northwest team.

The SI staff broke down each northwest divisions offseason. The full article with each northwest team breakdown can be seen here.

Sports Illustrated’s column on the Nuggets had the draft as their best move and the near signing of Dwyane Wade their worst. Now, how close the Nuggets were to actually signing Wade is up in the air, but he did tweet at Denver thanking them and promoting them.

After that each team got a section on “the skinny” which is basically the author telling the team how it really it, and this is a paragraph from the Nuggets skinny:

"Denver’s front office has traveled the entire globe to collect the most obscure and intriguing prospects for your viewing pleasure: there’s a Juancho, there’s a Joffrey, there’s an Axel, there’s a Nurkic and a Jokic. From the Democratic Republic of Congo to Canada to half of the European continent, the Nuggets have you covered. Even better, Denver’s deep collection of international talent is entirely under the age of 25, making them perfect for idealistic dreamers."

It doesn’t give too much insight, but I thought it was a pretty cool paragraph.

Overall, they gave the Nuggets a B- which I can not complain about. The Nuggets had far from an alluring offseason, but with Jamal Murray and company being drafted, they are certainly preparing to have an incredible future.

Although fans may have wanted more, the Denver Nuggets did what was right, and hopefully they can make a big splash in next years free agency as several big name free agents will hit the market.
