The Denver Nuggets are a skilled team, but does Kenneth Faried and his contract fit into their future? It might, if Faried can perform at a high level.

In theory, take away this offseason, and for the numbers he makes, Kenneth Faried needs to produce more. Players such as Nikola Vucevic, Kyle Lowry, and Kemba Walker are making less per season.

Throughout the rest of his contract, Kenneth Faried must step it up. He is set to make over twelve million dollars every season for the next three afters signing a 4-year,$50 extension in 2014.

Faried does not even crack the top 100 in points per game and his defensive stats do not speak volumes either. With that said, from the Nuggets viewpoint, the Manimal must produce more this season.

The only two stats that can decently impress about Faried’s game are his rebounds (8.7 per game) and his field goal percentage (55.8%).

Faried has the second largest contract on the Denver Nuggets team, yet he was not even in the top 150 in minutes per game last season.  He also shoots poorly from the free throw line which can be a problem.

Kenneth Faried does provide the Nuggets with some intangibles. He averages 3.5 offensive rebounds per game which can be a huge plus in close game situations.
