The most telling stat of the day was that the Nuggets yet again dominated their opponents on the boards which could be a huge sign for the regular season. They out rebounded the Mavs 49-28. They had four more offensive rebounds and seventeen more defense rebounds. This domination was in part to the twin tower lineup along with some work from the bench bigs.
As we start the season, the area that will be needed to be monitored will be turnovers. Even in this domination the Nuggets still committed more turnovers than their opponent, 21-16. This will be an area of the Nuggets that will certainly cause heartache throughout the season.
This was a great finale that the Nuggets were able to give their fans. This will be a big boost as they will head into the regular season against the New Orleans Pelicans on the 26th. Are you ready fellow Nuggets fans? This may only be the beginning of a playoff contending season.
