The Nuggets may now have a conundrum with Wilson Chandler.

I didn’t want to believe it when I first saw it either, but according to reports, Chandler wants out of the Mile High.

This comes as a surprise considering there were very little trade rumor this season as it was believed that he was content in Denver. However, according to Timothy Rapp, a featured columnist for Bleacher Report, Chandler is dissatisfied with his current role on the team, citing coming off the bench as a main concern for the versatile veteran.

Rapp said in his article on Bleacher Report “The 29-year-old is reportedly frustrated with being relegated to a reserve role, and “while it’s not believed that Chandler has requested a trade, the Nuggets-who currently owe him a combined $36 million for this season and two (player option in 2018-19)-are known to be aware of his concerns.”

Suddenly Denver, who was also reportedly shopping Emmanuel Mudiay earlier, may have to change their priorities.

Keep in mind that Danilo Gallinari will be a free agent this summer, so Denver may be caught up in a situation where they have to choose between Gallo or Ill Will.

Unless they can get a guarantee of a wing player coming to Denver this summer, the Nuggets may have to appease Chandler, or package him with other trade assets to get a star. One thing is for certain, the Nuggets have shore up their 3 spot since Gallinari left the game with an injury against the Memphis Grizzlies the other night.

While it is just speculation at this point, these reports of Wilson Chandler’s discontent are very unsettling.
