Jamal Murray could wow people in the Rising Stars Challenge.

Jamal Murray will participate in the Rising Stars along with his fellow counter part, Nikola Jokic. Could he be the game’s MVP?

That is a tough question. I am not going to lie though, it is not going to be easy, especially with how well Nikola Jokic has been playing recently.

Not to mention the other Rising Stars such as Devon Booker, Kristaps Porzingis, Buddy Hield, and Willy Hernangomez (the other Hernangomez brother). However, Murray is one of the most talented players to come out of last summer’s draft.

Therefore, do not be surprised at all if he goes off and has a monster performance and is the MVP of the game.  He has shown flashed of brilliance this season which included winning Western Conference Rookie of the Month and scoring 24 points against the Chicago Bulls earlier in the year.

All of this happened after a very rough start to his rookie campaign where he was held scoreless in his first couple career NBA games. As a result, it is clear that this young kid can overcome adversity and keep his head up.

This goes to show that it won’t matter what the U.S.A. team throws at him, he will still maintain his confidence and continue to sling it. He has been gaining more confidence lately and isn’t afraid to trash talk his opponent either.

That is the kind of attitude that can take a rookie places if they utilize it correctly. It will certainly help in the Rising Stars Challenge that is approaching very fast.

Jamal Murray could be a dark horse to be the the Rising Star’s MVP.
