The Denver Nuggets got a key win in Indiana.

The Denver Nuggets won their second game in a row. Despite a heroic 29 point performance from Paul George, the Nuggets were able to hold off the late surge at the end.

With this victory, they get a little bit of confidence going forward as they still possess the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. With this grueling stretch coming up, they are going to need every bit of confidence they can receive.

Nikola Jokic had yet another monster performance as he scored 30 points to go along with 17 rebounds and five assists. Not to mention, one of his assists was a beautiful no look over the head pass to Wilson Chandler for an easy shot at the rim.

Gallinari returned and made a solid impact as well. He struggled in the fourth quarter, but overall, it was good to have him back in the lineup as he posted a 21 point performance. The Nuggets seemed to be in control for the majority of the game until the very end. At one point in the waning moments of the game, Indiana even cut the deficit to seven points. However, the Nuggets were able to hold on and prevail by a final score of 125-117.

Not exactly the type of blow out win that occurred in London in January where the Nuggets poured in 140 points. Nevertheless, Denver and its fans will take the win. With this win, they are now one and a half games up on the Portland Trail Blazers as of right now.

Hopefully the Trail Blazers can lose their next game so the Nuggets can build up a cushion for the eighth seed, otherwise the lead will go back down to a one game lead. After this game, the Nuggets have now officially swept the season series against the Indiana Pacers.

They have fared very well against the East this season. Hopefully, that success translates into a playoff birth.
