Kenneth Faried is a solid hustler, but his future with Denver is very cloudy.

Kenneth Faried had a roller coaster ride last season. He was originally asked to come off the bench only to be inserted back into the starting rotation and then relegated to the bench again.

He handled it all pretty well all things considered. Unfortunately, with the Nuggets in desperate need of rim protection, his future with the franchise is uncertain. Faried is just too undersized for the position he plays. As a result, this handicaps him defensively while in the paint.

This opens the conversation for trade rumors with the NBA Draft quickly approaching. While I personally would like to keep Faried, I also know he can be an add on in a trade to sweeten the deal. Not to mention, every team in the league could use his hustle. He is basically the Nuggets’ version of Tristan Thompson.

There will be many teams interested in the veteran power forward and they are going to give their best offer to Denver in order to get their hands on Faried. If the Nuggets truly want to ship them, they will only accept the RIGHT deal. Denver is not just going to throw him away for nothing.  Unless they can get a quality return on investment, Kenneth Faried could very well still be a Nugget come next year.

Unfortunately for him, his future is very uncertain in the Mile High at this point of the off season.

We will see what actually unfolds in the draft and whether or not the Nuggets will use him as a second unit commodity.
