The Denver Nuggets have certainly not wasted time in pursuing a star.

Despite a less than stellar draft, the one thing you do have to give the Denver Nuggets is that they are trying hard to get a star in Denver.

They know they need one if they are going to become an attractive destination and get back into the playoffs. The Nuggets were reportedly trying to get Jimmy Butler followed up by Eric Bledsoe in the draft.

They will most likely pursue Paul Millsap. Not to mention, they are going to target Blake Griffin and Chris Paul as well. Denver was also a player in a potential three team deal that would have sent Kevin Love to the Mile High while the Cavs got Paul George and Indiana could start rebuilding.

With all of this in mind, one has to at least give the Nuggets’ front office credit for being aggressive in bolstering the roster. Could they have drafted a bit smarter? Absolutely. But what is done is done and the Nuggets are already becoming major players in free agency even though it technically has not started yet.

With how aggressive they have been so far, it will be somewhat surprising if Denver does not land anyone with at least a bit of star power.

Good luck to the front office from here on out and keep trying to land a star. Once we do, the Nuggets will be back on the map for being a serious team.
