With Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap now the Nuggets’ roster, there is a legitimate argument that Denver has the best front court in the Western Conference now.

The Denver Nuggets got a great addition in Paul Millsap this free agency. Now, Denver will showcase a great front court with he and Nikola Jokic.

Millsap had a great year in his last season with the Atlanta Hawks and is coming home to the Mile High.

Every Denver Nuggets fan knows about the coming out party of Nikola Jokic last year and now will have a veteran presence to mentor him down low as his power forward counterpart. With a class act like Millsap giving him guidance, the sky is the limit for the Joker.

Between Jokic’s offensive capabilities and Millsap’s defensive versatility, opposing teams are going to have a hard time figuring out Denver’s frontcourt.

Jokic had his best year offensively last year and he did this without a star mentor like a Paul Millsap, so imagine the ceiling he will have this coming season. Millsap may feel rejuvenated being back in his home state and as eluded to already, he is coming off a solid season.

I understand the arguments for other great front courts in the West. The New Orleans Pelicans have Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. The LA Clippers still have DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin. The Spurs have LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol, but one cannot deny the potential of this new Nuggets frontcourt.

Jokic and Millsap will offset each other perfectly and will propel Denver into being a legitimate playoff contender.

Next: How high can Denver finish?

The two counterparts are a great fit, Millsap is the veteran star who knows how to be a leader and Nikola is an up and coming star who will take the league by storm here in a few years.
