The three others starters for the Nuggets, Danilo Gallinari, Andre Iguodala, and Kosta Koufos, combined for 33 points. Gallinari scraped together 15 points and Iguodala finished with a quiet 14 point night.

Seven players scored off the bench for Denver and the leading scorer on the night for the Nuggets was one of them. Wilson Chandler had a season high 24 points, which was the most by any player on the team for the night. JaVale McGee finished his night with ten points.

The Nuggets led 33-25 after the first quarter and did not look back. They led 63-58 at halftime and blew the game wide open once the third quarter rolled around. Denver put up 37 points in the third, as Chicago managed to only scrap together 16. They also outscored the Bulls in the fourth quarter, by the score of 28-22.

On the Bulls side, four players finished in double figures. Daequan Cook, Nate Robinson, Loul Deng, and Carlos Boozer combined for 62 points, as Cook lead the team with 19. Joakim Noah, who came into the game averaging a double-double, was a non-factor in the matchup, finishing the game with five rebounds and two points.

Team stats went in the Denver favor in almost every category. The Nuggets shot 58% from the field and 47% from three-point land. They finished the game 19-23 (81%) in the free-throw department. Denver also out rebounded Chicago, and had more assists, blocks, and steals. Only ten turnovers were committed by the Nuggets and the teams were tied in total teams fouls with sixteen.

When the game was all said and done, the Nuggets put together one of their best games of the season. A dominate third quarter helped lead them over the Bulls and they advanced to the record of 32-18. Denver remains one of the hotter teams in the league, as they have won 21 of their last 27 games. The team goes on a four-game road trip, which opens up in Cleveland, Saturday night, at 7:30 P.M.

The Denver Nuggets (31-18) will put their seven-game winning streak on the line against the Chicago Bulls (29-19) on TNT Thursday night.

The last time the Nuggets won eight games in a row was back in January of 2010. Now with their high scoring offense and tough rebounding, they’ll look to make it eight straight once again. Danilo Gallinari is still playing great basketball and is now averaging 17.1 points for the season. He’s been leading the team over this stretch but he’s been getting loads of help. Just about everyone who’s stepping onto the court is producing for George Karl’s Nuggets. Ty Lawson is averaging 20.6 points, 7.4 assists, and 2.8 steals per game over the last five contests.

For the Bulls, the injury bug has come on strong. Carrlos Boozer, Kirk Hinrich, and Joakim Noah are all listed as day-to-day. With 3/5 of the starting lineup banged up, extra pressure has been added on Luol Deng and Richard “Rip” Hamilton’s shoulders. Deng is averaging 16 points and 8.2 rebounds per game over his last five while Hamilton is only averaging 7.4 points and 17.6 minutes in his last five. Marco Belinelli has stepped in and has averaged 11.8 points in the last five contests.

The Bulls play stingy defense, ranking 3rd in the NBA in scoring defense. The Nuggets, on the other hand, are 3rd in the NBA in scoring. It should be fun to watch these two teams go at each other.
