Dance moves have been sweeping the nation for years now. You’ll see a trend stay for awhile, and then you’ll see it go away.

Electric Slide

Macarena

Walk it Out

Dougie

Two-Step

Snap-Dancing

Bernie

Gangnam Style

Cupid Shuffle

Those are just some of the dance crazes that have swept the nation for a long time (Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle) or ones that had a shelf life of a gallon of milk (Gangnam Style, Macarena).

Regardless, everyone, including athletes take notice of the trend and take part in them.

After Ty Lawson hit the game-winning shot against the Oklahoma City Thunder with .02 seconds left in the game last week, he did a good five-second long rendition of the “Bernie” at midcourt. The Bernie, of course, is in reference to the film “Weekend at Bernies.”

Lately, the newest dance craze that has hit the nation has been the “Harlem Shake.” Now I know you’re thinking one of two things.

1. Wasn’t the Harlem Shake the dance that was started in the early 1980s? Also, wasn’t it the dance that “Bad Boy Records” made famous in their videos?

2. The Harlem Shake is outplayed already and needs to go away.

The answer to both is yes.

Regardless, after the Miami Heat got their whole team together to make a version of the dance (starring former Denver Nugget Chris Andersen), the Nuggets took it into their own hands to make their own version.

The dance, for those under a rock, starts with one person dancing and usually wearing some kind of ridiculous outfit. When the chorus hits, the rest of the people join in the dancing while wearing outrageous costumes.

For the Nuggets, JaVale McGee leads the way as Predator while the rest of his teammates are in the gym working out. Soon enough, Evan Fournier, Kosta Koufos and many other teammates join in the festivities.

Take a look at their rendition and let us know what you think.
