ESPN’s Chad Ford released his second official mock draft Wednesday morning. Teams around the league are beginning to start their workout process which means it’s time to start talking about the draft.

Ford has the Denver Nuggets selecting Allen Crabbe, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard out of Cal. From Ford:

Denver is one of the deeper teams in the league right now and might opt for an international player just to save a roster spot. However, Crabbe could be the one guy on the board who intrigues them. He’s an excellent shooter with deep range. It’s an area with which the Nuggets struggled all season and in the playoffs. Crabbe could be an inexpensive solution.

Crabbe, the 21-year-old guard, is heralded as a big time scorer with the ability to hit jumpers anywhere on the floor. He doesn’t have the greatest athleticism at his position but his knack for knocking down long-range jumpers is something that could benefit the Nuggets immediately. The Nuggets were one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the regular season and were exposed for their lack of shooting in the playoffs when the Golden State Warriors went to a 2-3 zone.

There’s always the possibility that the Nuggets will draft an international player and stash him away in the euro leagues until he’s ready to play in the NBA but Crabbe is an intriguing option. Denver already has Evan Fournier and Quincy Miller as young wing prospects and Crabbe could cloud their minutes or be wasted away on the bench.

It’ll be interesting to see which route Masai Ujiri and the Denver Nuggets choose to go.

The Denver Nuggets are holding another big NBA Draft workout on Monday.

The workout will feature Will Barton, Andrew Nicholson, Royce White, Marquis Teague, Kevin Murphy and Tayshawn Taylor.

Barton, Nicholson, White and Teague are all projected to go in the first round, while Murphy and Taylor may go in the second round.

Denver has the 20th, 38th and 57th. Both White and Teague have been rumored to go to the Nuggets with the 20th pick.

White is by far the most intriguing player in the draft, due to his size (6-foot-8, 261 pounds) and ballhandling skills. Some mock drafts have him listed as a small forward, but will most likely play power forward at the next level. While he has the speed and tools to play on the perimeter, he doesn’t have the jumper and can cause mismatches in the post.

Teague, who is Jeff Teague’s younger brother, may be the most overlooked member of Kentucky’s national title team. He is a gifted point guard, who has impressive athleticism and speed, but he is extremely raw for the NBA level. His jump shot isn’t refined and he tends to get complacent in the half-court. However, if a team is willing to wait on him (he is only 19 years old) they may uncover a gem.

Barton may have been one of the most players in college basketball last season, but there is still doubts about how his size (6-6, 174) will play out at the next level.

Nicholson is a big man that can extend the floor, which is intriguing for most playoff teams. At St. Bonaventure he shot .434 from behind the arc.

Murphy is a prospect, who is a little under the radar. He is instant offense and has a great jump shot. He doesn’t have the size or strength to drive to the basket and does a lot of his damage from outside.

Taylor is an Anthony Carter-type. Not a great point guard, but one that does the little things that coaches love (and sometimes hate). He is very vocal and is a great teammate, he also has great size (6-4, 177) for point guard and works hard on defense. Offensively, he is turnover-prone and plays out of control a lot (much like Carter) but he has shown an ability to hit open jumpers, too.
