Hamilton debuted for the Los Angeles Unified in the Drew League Sunday and made an impact in the game on both sides of the floor.

He finished the contest with 20 points, seven rebounds and three steals. He also helped a teammate out to block the game-tying shot.

Hamilton told Pedro Moura of ESPN Los Angeles that ‘he was still out of shape after not playing in any sort of refereed environment for three weeks.’

Former NBA point guards Bobby Brown and Marcus Williams were the captain of the Unified game. Williams led all scorers with 30 points.

Jordan Hamilton’s fellow rookie Kenneth Faried has also provided a very nice highlight reel at the Drew League. Newly acquired point guard Andre Miller also played in the league, as well as free agent guard J.R. Smith.

Other NBA stars that have competed in the Drew League are LeBron James, James Harden, Nick Young, Craig Smith, JaVale McGee, Dorell Wright, Ron Artest, Shannon Brown, Steve Blake, Kevin Durant, Wesley Johnson, Trevor Ariza and Tyreke Evans to name a few. 

And it is very unlikely a quality player will be available by the time the Denver Nuggets draft with the 22nd pick. The latest mock drafts are very favorable with the Nuggets selecting Kenneth Faried, Tobias Harris and Reggie Jackson. Both Harris and Faried will most likely go higher than the Nuggets pick and while Jackson may be there with the 22nd pick, there is a slim chance he’d see minutes or even help the Nuggets during his rookie season.
