Nene hit all five of his shots to score 10 points in only eight minutes, while Lawson scored a game-high 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds and finished with three steals and two assists.

It is unclear if either will play Thursday in Phoenix against the Suns, but neither injury seems too serious as the Nuggets list both players as day-to-day.

Rudy Fernandez and Al Harrington may also miss Thursday’s game. According to Aaron Lopez, both are dinged up. Should give Corey Brewer, Jordan Hamilton and Kenneth Faried more time on the floor.

One player that should play in Thursday’s game is recently re-signed Arron Afflalo.

K-Mart Agrees To Buyout With CBA Squad

Kenyon Martin’s career in China is officially over, the 34-year-old power forward agreed to a buyout with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.

It is still unclear if Martin can return to the NBA, or if he has to wait until the CBA’s season ends in March to return.

Martin played 12 games for the Flying Tigers, who have an 8-4 record.

JR Smith and Wilson Chandler may also try to get buyouts to return to the NBA.

When he can return to the NBA, it is highly unlikely Martin will re-sign with the Nuggets.

Instead, look for him to sign with a playoff team that needs help in the post.

• The San Antonio Spurs need some added toughness in the paint, especially after Antonio McDyess retired.
• The Los Angeles Clippers, who recently added Reggie Evans, still need help in the paint. They also have former Nuggets point guard Chauncey Billups, who alongside Martin led the Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals.
• The New York Knicks may be the best fit for Martin. They need toughness, depth and defensive help, not to mention Martin can join former teammates Carmelo Anthony and Renaldo Balkman.
• The Dallas Mavericks seemed like a good fit before they added Lamar Odom. Still isn’t out of the question, since they may give Martin his best chance at an NBA Title.
