The Nuggets have lost a crucial member of last year’s franchise record for wins Nuggets squad. Corey brewer is leaving the Pepsi Center and returning to where his career started at the Target Center. Brewer has reportedly agreed to return to The Minnesota Timberwolves on a three-year $15 million dollar deal. The third year of the deal is a player option.

Brewer came to the Nuggets in a deal with the Dallas Mavericks along with Rudy Fernandez for a 2016 second round pick that originally belonged to Memphis. Before that he spent a few days with the New York Knicks as part of the Melo trade and 4 seasons with the Wolves. For 2 seasons Minnesota fans watched Brewer fill the exact role he was drafted out of Florida to fill in Minnesota.Brewer raced up and down the court creating turnovers and getting out in transition for amazing buckets. He was the Nuggets spark plug and energized the Pepsi Center. A fan favorite, Brew gave every ounce of energy he had to the team.

The Nuggets will have a hard time replacing a class act like Corey Brewer. Last season Brewer played in all 82 games averaging 24.3 minutes per contest and scoring 12.1 points. The Nuggets will miss his defense and fast break points but fans will miss his great personality. We at NuggLove would to thank Corey Brewer for everything he brought to the Nuggets these past two year’s and say good luck back in Minnesota.

Corey Brewer was kind enough to thank the city of Denver and here is that tweet. I want to make note that The Mole in Golden State never once thanked us.
