Danilo Gallinari has been hard at work rehabbing his knee over the last four months as he recovers from knee surgery. Nuggets fans will recall the team was without Gallo all last season after he suffered a setback on the left ACL injury that occurred over a year ago in a game against the Dallas Mavericks on April 4, 2013. According the the latest update from the Nuggets staff, Gallo is progressing nicely and he is moving without restriction.

The Nuggets’ official site reports that Gallo will spend the next few weeks in his native Italy where he will continue with his offseason program:

"“Gallinari’s schedule will be scaled back while he is in Italy, but he still plans to work out with the Italian national team to keep in shape. [He] is hoping the rest, relaxation and rehabilitation will help him take the final steps in his recovery.”"

The post on the Nuggets’ site includes footage of Gallo’s first dunk in four months. It’s worth checking out to see Gallo’s two-handed throw-down, but the best part is the way he stares at the rim afterwards. You can tell he’s itching to get back on the court.

And guess what? Nuggets fans are itching to see him back on the court, too. Get well soon, Gallo!
