According to the “my sources”, Chris Evans has signed on to be a Denver Nugget this upcoming Las Vegas Summer League. Okay, “my source” is Hoops Hype and they can be your source too. Here is what I learned about Chris Evans.
Coming out of Kent State University, Chris Evans was a part of the silliest “scandal‘ I have heard of in a while.
"Chris Evans, who Kent State purports to be 6-foot-8-inches, is actually 6-foot-5 without shoes. I couldn’t find where Run The Floor got this information, but Evans’ DraftExpress profile says he’s 6-5 without shoes, so it’s out there."
While at Kent State, Evans averaged 16.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Evans went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Chris Evans played last season in Greece for Aries Trikala. According to RealGM.com, he averaged 16.48 points per game which placed him 3rd overall in the “Greek HEBA A1 2013-2014 Stat Leaders“. Evans appears again in the stat leaders page finishing second overall with 1.96 steals per game. Evans also averaged 7.28 rebounds and 1.36 assists per game.
In both University and in Greece, Evans averaged just over 16 points and 7 rebounds a game. IF Chris Evans can manage those numbers during Summer League, the Nuggets will have to give him a long look as a training camp invite.
