Bye Bye Aaron Brooks and Jan Vesely

Aaron Brooks came to the Denver Nuggets on February 20th (aka trade deadline day).  He was acquired via trade with the Houston Rockets.  When Brooks was acquired, he instantly became the starting point guard for the Denver Nuggets with Ty Lawson and Nate Robinson injured.  Brooks started 12 of 29 games for the Nuggets.  Statistically, Aaron Brooks played above most of his career averages.  He finished his Nugget tenure averaging 11.9 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.

Jan Vesely came to Denver on trade deadline day also.  Vesely was a part of the deal that finally ended the Andre Miller melodrama.  Vesely appeared in 21 games for the Nuggets.  Playing in his 3rd season in the NBA, I always got the feeling that Vesely was still learning the ropes.

Both Aaron Brooks and Jan Vesely had contracts that expired going into this off-season.  I never thought either one of them was coming back to the Nuggets for the 2014-15.

Aaron Brooks is reportedly signing with the Chicago Bulls.  In Chicago, Brooks joins “Nugget for a minute” Doug McDermott.  Wonder if they will reminisce about that wonderful minute?

Jan Vesely is reportedly (or should I say tweetedly) going to Istanbul, Turkey.

Good luck to both soon-to-be-former Nuggets.
