Basketball is back Nuggets fans! The Denver Nuggets had their first game of the pre-season last night, and they lost to the Los Angles Lakers by a score of 98-95. It was amazing to see the Nuggets back on the court, and it is exciting to think of how close the regular season is!

Ty Lawson led the Nuggets in scoring by posting 14 points to go along with 6 assists. Lawson played just 25 minutes but was able to produce. Timofey Mozgov showed exactly why the Nuggets are planning on keeping him and not dealing him to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The rising big man put up 13 points in just 21 minutes of action.

The Nuggets rookies got some action last night, and Gary Harris looked especially good. Harris played 19 minutes and put up 11 points but had 3 turnovers. Jusuf Nurkic saw some action as well, but did not have the same results as Harris. Nurkic played 20 minutes, but only scored 2 points while shooting 1-8 from the field.

The Lakers saw Kobe Bryant return to the court and he looked great. Bryant scored 13 points and had 5 assists in the game. Having him back healthy is going to be huge for the Lakers this season as they look to improve on their disappointing season last year.

It is so great be watching the Nuggets play in real games again. There is a lot of hope surrounding this team, and they have the ability to sneak into the playoffs this year. The Nuggets will be taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder tomorrow night at 7:00.
