Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post is reporting that Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari has a torn Meniscus in his right knee and will undergo surgery in the next day or two. The report states that after surgery, it will be approximately 3 weeks before his return to the lineup. This is a big setback as Gallo was starting to round into form after struggling early. He was the Nuggets leading scorer in last night’s win over the Pacers and had found his 3 point shooting stroke of late. With Gallo out, this will even further shorten the Nuggets bench as there is no timetable for the return of often injured center JaVale McGee and Darrell Arthur has missed the past 2 days with a strained leg of his own. The hope is that Arthur will return tomorrow for the Nuggets game against the Hornets but that is not a definite at this time. Stay with NuggLove for more on Gallinari’s injury and further prognosis on his return.
