The Timofey Mozgov trade to Cleveland is about 24 hours old now, so both Nuggets and Cavs fans have had time to digest the news and react. Here’s a round-up of how Cleveland fans and writers are reacting to the deal.

Josh Hill, Editor of King James Gospel:

"Cleveland may have paid too much to land Mozgov, but David Blatt is getting a player who understands his game and a loyal follower. Mozgov has played for Blatt on his successful Russian teams, and comes to Cleveland with perhaps the glue the team needs to stick together and to stick on Blatt."

Chris Fedor for the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

"Then yesterday, news broke of the Cavs inching closer to a deal with Denver Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov, a 7-footer the Cavs had fancied for months, the rim protector the team was so desperate to find. The trade became final in the first half of Cleveland’s loss against the Rockets, a game where Dwight Howard was bullying Tristan Thompson. And once again, the acquisition was costly. The Cavs sacrificed two first-round picks to acquire the Russian, who played for Blatt on the National Team. Even [Cleveland GM David] Griffin knew the price was steep. “I think Denver got an unbelievably good trade out of this,” he said Wednesday."

David Zavac for Fear The Sword:

"[Mozgov] isn’t giving up so much size before the fight even gets going. Mozgov is 28, coming off a season with a true shooting rate of 58+, and has a relationship with coach David Blatt. Everyone is ready for Mozgov to make a defensive impact. He should be able to."
