Jusuf Nurkic: Examples of Awesome

Everyone’s new favorite Nugget, Jusuf Nurkic, continues to impress.  Early on in the season we saw flashes of his game in limited minutes.  Now, with Timofey Mozgov out of Denver, Nurkic has been inserted into the starting lineup and has continued his solid play in a much more expansive role.

Even more impressive than his numbers has been his “won’t back down” attitude.  Jusuf Nurkic vines are quickly becoming my favorite thing on the internet. Enjoy…

I watched this game from my home in Kentucky, and I swear I felt the ground shake on this play.

I like to imagine Marc Gasol still sees Nurkic in his nightmares.

This one is just too perfect. Nurkic boogie’ing on Boogie.

To be just 20 years old and have the audacity to mix it up with guys like Marc Gasol and Boogie Cousins is one thing, but to produce good play in the process makes it just plain fun to watch.  Nurkic is talking junk to the best bigs in the league, and his play is backing up his mouth.

If Nurkic stays the course, I have a feeling our new starting center won’t be very well-liked by opposing teams and opposing fans.  I think I speak for the entire Denver Nuggets fan base when I say, that’s perfectly fine with me. Never change, Jusuf.
