Denver Nuggets rookie Jusuf Nurkic, who was recently named to the all-rookie second team, will have knee surgery. Turkic has a tear in his patella tendon and is expected to miss around 3-4 months. The injury comes at a good time since he will have all off-season to rehab. The downside however, is that he will not have the off-season to improve his game.

Nurkic turned out to be a steal for the Nuggets in the draft last year, but this injury is certainly not ideal. In his first year in the NBA, he averaged 6 points with 6 rebounds. The hope is that he will be ready for some part of training camp, but at this point that remain unclear.
