The NBA draft is rapidly approaching us and here at Nugg Love we are going to break down the top 30 prospects in the draft. We are going to rank the best players 1-30 and give a draft analysis on each player. While not all of these players will be available for the Nuggets, it is important to know who is out there in the pool.

The first player coming in at our rankings is Center Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns is the best player in this years draft, and he has loads of upside. Towns is 6’11 and weighs in at 250 pounds. He averaged 10.3 points per game and grabbed 6.7 rebounds in his only season at Kentucky.

Towns is a game changer on both sides of the ball and it would be a major shock if he didn’t go number one overall to the Minnesota Timberwolves. His ability to block shots and his presence in the paint will make him a factor for years in the NBA and he is still yet to touch his full ability.

On defense, Towns likely is what he is at this point, and that is an elite defender. On offense though, he has much room to grow. Clearly, he can grab the ball and slam it down, but his jump shot can improve. Towns will look to develop his mid-range shot upon arriving in the league and this could take him to the next level.

Towns is by far my favorite player in this years draft and he will be star for years to come. It will be hard for the Wolves to pass on him and he is likely to be the first name off the board come next month. Unfortunately he won’t be there when the Nuggets are picking, but it is nice to dream.
