The Nuggets have recently interviewed Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach David Vanterpool. The Nuggets head coaching search continues and they are really exploring their options. Vanterpool has been regarded as a successful coach in the NBA, but his experience is not all that great compared to the men he is going up against for the job.

Vanterpool interviewing with the Nuggets isn’t his first one in the NBA. He interviewed with the Philadelphia 76ers back in 2013 for their head gig, but was not named the coach. In all likely hood, the Nuggets are just doing their due-dilligance and seeing what is out there on the market.

The NBA draft is just 15 days away now and the team has to get busy. They need to find a new coach so that he can land his pick at #7. Hopefully, the Nuggets get things moving soon and name a coach within the next few weeks.
