Mike Malone Named Nuggets Coach

The wait is finally over. The Denver Nuggets have a new coach, and it is former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Malone. Malone has a lot of experience as an assistant in the NBA, but limited experience as a head coach.

He coached the Kings for 1 and had seasons and didn’t have much success. He won just 28 games in a full season and 11 before being fired. Malone is excited for his new opportunity, and his hiring comes as a surprise to many.

It was not totally expected that Malone would be hired, but he beat out many other intriguing options. Malone has already said that the team is going to run a lot and that they will use high-tempo. The hiring of Malone makes it interesting of who the team will be going after in the draft next week.
