The Denver Nuggets will be picking 7th overall in Thursday night’s draft. The Nuggets are apparently not locked into the 7th spot however. According to the Denver Post, the Nuggets are looking to make deals on draft night to help rebuild their roster.
"“We want to be aggressive. We’re looking at any and all scenarios, and we’ve already proactively made a lot of those calls. We’ll see what we can do to make it interesting and hopefully give Coach the best team possible.”-Nuggets GM Tim Connelly."
There is no question the Nuggets have made their players available, but it will be interesting to see if they are looking to move up or down in the draft. I could see the Nuggets looking to trade a veteran for another lottery pick, but it would not be shocking to see them move up for a guy that they really want.
There are no guarantees with this Nuggets team, and it seems like we could be in for a fun night Thursday. One thing almost seems certain and that is that the Nuggets will make at least one deal before the night is over.
