The Nuggets have been heavily involved with trade talk leading up to the NBA draft tomorrow night and the latest rumor has the makings of a blockbuster deal. Apparently, George Karl doesn’t want DeMarcus Cousins in Sacramento. He is looking to ship him elsewhere for a big return.
One of the rumored teams in the discussions are the Denver Nuggets. The proposed deal would send Demarcus Cousins to the Nuggets for Ty Lawson, Wilson Chandler, and Kenneth Faried. It is a hefty haul, but to acquire a big-time talent like Cousins it almost seems like a no-brianer for Denver.
The likely hood of this trade happening is slim to none. Cousins doesn’t want to leave the Kings, and the owners don’t want him leaving either. If this deal went down it would certainly be exciting for Nuggets fans. However, look for Cousins to stick around in Sacramento and the Nuggets to make deals with other teams.
