Nuggets Guard Will Barton Hosts Annual Basketball Camp
NBA players often feel an obligation to give back to their community, since they often feel fortunate to have made it on an elite level. Therefore, many athletes host basketball camps that provide an opportunity for younger basketball players to improve their skills and perhaps pave a way towards higher levels of basketball. Denver Nuggets guard Will Barton makes his camps a big priority.
According to Nuggets.com, Barton uses his camp as more than just a basketball experience.

"“With all the violence that’s going on, it gives the kids something positive and a positive environment to be themselves and compete,” Barton said.—“I always dreamed, that once I was in the NBA, of being the guy that gave back to the neighborhood… Someone the kids could look up to,” Barton said."
You have to love this attitude from Will Barton. He realizes how lucky he was to get a chance in the NBA, an incredibly competitive environment.
Barton is another example of a high morale, good locker room guy who can help the Nuggets move in a new direction with young players.
