Kenneth Faried experienced success early in his career with the Denver Nuggets. However, the last few seasons have been the opposite, with Denver sitting near the bottom of the Western Conference.
This season, Faried is filled with optimism, per Rappler.com:
"Faried, whose nickname is “The Manimal” due to his high-energy play, says Denver now has to move forward as they aim to return to the playoffs – a goal he fully believes they can achieve.“Either you focus on the here and now and move forward, or you dwell on the past and get lost. And for us, we got to focus on the here and now, and move forward. And I 100% believe we can make the playoffs.”"
Many will call Faried crazy, as it would take close to a miracle for the Denver Nuggets to make the postseason. However, think about it for a second. If asked, what is Faried to say? Players need motivation and hope to have the motivation needed to get through an NBA season.
The point of this season shouldn’t be about wins for the Nuggets. The aim should be to develop all the young players on the team, while seeing growth from developed guys such as Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried.
