Danilo Gallinari Video: Gallo Fights in EuroBasket with Italy

Danilo Gallinari is far and away Italy’s best player in EuroBasket. The team falls to pieces when Gallo is off the floor, most notibly on offense. Danilo is their best distributer, best scorer, and best shooter.

In a recent matchup again Turkey, Danilo Gallinari showed some of that fight we’ve seen in the NBA, getting face to face with former NBAer Semih Erden, thanks to the official EuroBasket YouTube.

The lead up to this fight actually highlights some of Gallinari’s versatility for Italy. Erden is a legitimate seven footer, who Gallo is attempting to box out at the rim. Hopefully this season we’ll see Danilo playing power forward with the Nuggets, where he’s great. It will allow the Nuggets to go to a Chandler/Gallinari forward combination, which should be their most effective.
