Finally, the NBA preseason is a wrap, and about time, because we are all too ready to get some games that matter under way. Get rid of the projections and bring on the analysis.
But, before we say goodbye to exhibition play, let’s appreciate the preseason hoops we got to watch. These games are vital for both coaching staffs and players to mesh and develop the beautiful flow we see for 82 games. So on this regular season eve, let’s take one final look back at the Denver Nuggets’ preseason and see where it will lead us in the coming months.
The Nuggets finished with a 4-3 record in the preseason, not that the wins and losses really matter. For Denver, these warm-up games were about working rotations, gelling together as a team and getting young players up to game speed as Wednesday’s opener approaches.
After seven games worth of court time with the crew, we saw plenty of positive signs and a number of areas to improve on this season. Let’s take a look at the five biggest takeaways from preseason action that we should look forward to heading into the 2015-16 season.
