Worst NBA Draft Mistakes in Denver Nuggets History
#3- 2011 NBA Draft- Kenneth Faried– Drafted #22
I just got a feeling that people are going to overreact to this. I do honestly believe Kenneth Faried is a good player and a good fit in Denver right now, but look who Denver overlooked for Kenneth. Kenneth has been solid in his Denver time.
Faried averaged 13.7 points per game in the 13-14 season which is the best of his career. But, compared to this uprising star that is minimal.
Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler has been the suspect of trade discussion, and one would wonder why when Butler has skyrocketed his abilities in the last multiple years. Butler was the last pick drafted in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft.
Butler has turned into one of the leagues best two way players, and, although he struggles with injury, he has become an essential part of their offense. Butler averaged 20.9 points per game last season with Chicago and overall broadcasted his name when he averaged 22.9 in the playoffs in the 2015 playoffs.
Faried or Butler is an easy pick, but is it worthy of being the top 3 Denver draft mistakes? Maybe, maybe not; only time will tell how good this superstar will get in light of injuries and trade rumors.
