NBA Draft: Top 5 Second Round Options for Denver
Robert Carter
Robert Carter could is an interesting mix of raw talent combined with his big man size. The only problem that Carter could have in Denver would be to make the team after the summer league ends.
Carter, who spent his final year with the Maryland Terrapins and two previous years at Georgia Tech, averaged 12.3 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game. Carter was extremely efficient from the field connecting on 55.4% of his shots his last year.
Banging on the offensive boards is a specialty of the 6’9″, 240 pound Carter. Carter brought an energy and excitement to the Terrapins when he decided to play for them. Carter also could develop a three game as he shot some in college by connected on only 33.3% of them.
But, even the thought of having to guard this tank at the three-point line is scary. Carter could be chosen at 56 by the Nuggets. Several mock drafts have Carter left off the board completely; therefore, maybe Denver will shock him and take him for his increasing upside. He seems to be a new-day Glen Davis.

These players (outside of Petr) were all very good collegiate players a quality teams, but sometimes incredible college play does not translate to amazing in the mind of scouts. Look for some of these players to be taken off of the board in the second round, and look for some of them so see not hear their name called all together.
