Shooting, shooting, and more shooting! Need I say more? Malik Beasley was selected as the 19th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Nuggets. He was a great shooter at Florida State and will likely be used in the Nuggets’ rotation next season. The Nuggets needed shooting and they weren’t afraid to address that need.

Beasley shot 47% last year for the Seminoles and stretched his game to the three-point shot as well. Beasley is known as a shooter and should definitely be a big help for the Nuggets’ shooting woes. He’s a slashing guard as well, he has explosiveness when going at the rim and could be a huge help in spacing of the floor.

Here are some of his highlights from his collegiate career.

Beasley has some weaknesses though. He needs to get better defensively and could definitely improve that part of his game. He also needs to develop his playmaking and shot creation. Other than that, Beasley is a great player at the 19th pick as he is young and could develop into a solid role player for the Nuggets in the future.

With Beasley and Murray drafted, will the Nuggets soon look to move one of their two current SGs on the roster, or will they head into next season with 4 shooting guards that all deserve minutes?

This will be a pretty complicated scenario for the Nuggets this next year as they have so much talent and just a certain amount of minutes. With Harris and Murray both locks to make the team, Beasley will need to certainly prove his worth.
