Memphis Grizzles

Wade Baldwin, PG (17), Deyonta Davis, PF (31) *via Boston, Rade Zagorac, SF (35) *via Boston, Wang Zhelin, C (57)

We were all shocked when Deyonta Davis fell to the second round; he would have been a viable lottery selection.  So when the Celtics were on the clock, and were clearly uninterested, Memphis jumped at the opportunity at a steal.  Memphis traded it’s 2019 LA Clippers-first round pick to Boston for picks #31 and #35.  This is a good move for a franchise desperate to shake things up.

Not to mention, the next-generation Grizzlies now have their starting point guard locked in with Wade Baldwin.  Next step, is trading Conley away for and younger player and develop the shiny, new core.  A contender may even pry Marc Gasol from their hands for the right return.

Draft Grade: A

Next: Milwaukee Bucks
