Dwayne Wade

Since the Heat made Wade a disrespectful offer of only $10 million a year (that’s nothing in a world where Timofey Mozgov rakes in $16 million a year), a lot of teams have been thrown around in the mix for the 3 time NBA champion, and 12 time NBA All-Star.  One of the teams making a run at Wade: your Denver Nuggets.

Another shooting guard?  It would probably force Denver to trade away a guard or two.  But he’s still a great player, a leader, and someone that these young guys could learn from.  He’d be the factor that puts Denver in the playoff race next season, in one of the league’s most competitive divisions.  And honestly, Dwayne Wade would help revive the fan base of a franchise on the fringe of an epic turn around.

Yeah, it’s an interesting idea, and a bit of of an expensive one.  It’s unlikely that Wade will settle for less than $20 million per year in this bloated market.  The Bulls, Mavs, and Spurs are all after D-Wade as well, but in the end Miami will probably wise up and give him the paycheck he deserves.

This could just be another stint to make the Miami Heat give him upwards of $15 million though.
