JaKarr Deserves a Spot

JaKarr Sampson, who did not score in the first summer league game, came out with a chip on his shoulder as he put up 16 points in just 16 minutes on just 7 shots. This, along with his other stats, is extremely effective.

JaKarr has a very close play style to teammate Alex Toupane. This similarity could ultimately force them to be competing for one spot on the roster. Sampson, who has not averaged above 5.2 points per game in his first two season, still has room to mature and is only 23. Toupane also produced very little for the Nuggets last season.

With two twenty-three year olds both vying for one spot, how can you decide who is the right move? Well, if the Nuggets can win tonight, this “playoff” game could contribute in the deciding factor. Stay tune to see how they do tonight against the Heat.
