JaKarr Sampson = C-

JaKarr Sampson struggled to find the court for the Nuggets’ Summer League squad, never clocking more than 16 minutes in a game, and only appearing in four. He averaged 6.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in Vegas, but was never really given the opportunity to shine during the week.

Toupane started the final four games at small forward and, as a result, Sampson may have been disinterested in playing during Summer League, but Toupane definitely outshined Sampson in Vegas. The most memorable highlight from Sampson was getting crossed to pieces by Dunn in the opener:

Sampson will need to put in a much better performance during training camp if he wants to crack the Nuggets’ crowded roster. Especially considering Toupane seemed to take the upper-hand in the competition for one of those roster spots.
