8 – Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks and the Nuggets met four times last season, but the Nuggets were only able to come away with one win.

This was another tough match-up for the Nuggets. After starting with a disappointing loss, they split a pair of games that each went into OT. After that, the Nuggets needed desperately to grab a win, but in the final match-up of the series, which came late in the season, they fell short by nine points. It is safe to assume that a sour taste was left in their mouths that day.

Look for the Nuggets to avenge that late-season performance when the two first meet in the 2016-17 season. Any further match-ups should be physical and gritty as well.
