MUST READ: The Nuggets’ Top 10 Rivalries from 2016
By Tim Hart
5 – Memphis Grizzlies
The Nuggets played a four-game series against the Grizzlies, and came away 1-3. Each game was close, finishing respectively with seven, one, seven, and four point deficits, which averages out to a five-point deficit per-game. That’s an entire four-game series in which every game could have gone either way.
For the Grizzlies, they managed to come out on top and may not be paying much attention to the Denver Nuggets; however, the Nuggets missed out on what could have easily been three more wins, and they likely took the series to heart.
Its safe to assume that the Nuggets’ coaches and players spent a little extra time studying film and looking for hidden kinks in the Grizzlies’ armor. Watch for the Nuggets to come out shooting if the two match-up in this upcoming season. Also, if the Nuggets win all their matches, it may result in a better draft pick next season as they have Memphis’ first rounder.
