Shooting Guard: Gary Harris

A nonfactor in his rookie campaign, Harris followed it up with a breakout year in which he saw his confidence and all of his statistical categories increase drastically.

What he lacks in height and length, Harris makes up for with his tenacious defense, exceptional cuts to the basket, and overall consistency. He was the most dependable player for the Nuggets last year and was a favorite of Coach Malone.

Will Barton and Jamal Murray seem to be the primary backups at the 2. Barton proved to be a revelation last season and established himself as a viable 6th Man of the Year candidate. Murray, who the Nuggets believe will be a combo-guard, should see time at both guard spots. His ability to score in a multitude of ways and distribute the ball make him a playmaker at either position.

Fellow rookie Malik Beasley figures to be a long-term project and will most likely spend time in the D-League this upcoming season. His play at Florida State suggests he has the makings of a highly coveted 3 and D guard in todays NBA.
