Denver Nuggets: Where Can Each Starter Improve?
By Evan Hosmer
Danilo Gallinari
Gallinari is a hard player to evaluate because he spent a good amount of time last season injured. Gallinari is the Denver Nuggets most deadly weapon on offense, leading the team in points per game and was one of the teams best shooters. Gallinari now enters this season as one of the veteran players for Denver and with that comes new responsibilities and challenges for Gallinari.
Gallinari is clearly a gifted scorer and is able to fill up the stat sheet on a nightly basis, but he needs to improve on the other side of court. Gallinari has never been the best on the defensive end in terms of defending on ball. Gallinari will need to improve on his on ball defense and overall defensive IQ this season if he hopes to improve.
Along with this, Gallinari needs to become a leader for the Denver Nuggets if they hope to make the playoffs. Being one of the more veteran players, Gallinari needs to mentor the younger players and show leadership on the court for this very young core of players.
