Trade Machine Results: NO Affect

Why the Hawks would do this trade:

The Atlanta Hawks, who traded star point guard Jeff Teague this offseason, have given the rights of the team over to Dennis Schroder. The Atlanta Hawks could make the playoffs in the weaker Western Conference. But, they do not have quite the right lineup for a serious shot at winning the championship.

By trading away Millsap, they would not have to worry about resigning him, and they could get a stellar young shooting guard and a good replacement power forward. This could be a solid trade for the Hawks and one that they should explore.

Why the Nuggets would do this trade:

The Denver Nuggets would get a quality scorer in the NBA. Millsap has scored over 16 points in 5 of his last 6 NBA seasons. Paul Millsap would be able to bring some hype back to the Mile High City. And, if they did this trade, the Denver Nuggets would free up back court space.

With Thabo adding solid perimeter defense, the Denver Nuggets could fill some whole while letting Jamal Murray and Malik Beasley see more floor time. This seems like a trade that both teams could explore, and it seems that it was explored just never done.
