Denver Nuggets Player Grades after an Incredible Win against the Minnesota Timberwolves

Jamal Murray-D-
In all fairness to Murray, it was his first start as a rookie. However, with so much hype surrounding him, there is no excuse for him to still be looking for his first basket in his career.
Overall, he still looks to be trying to find his true role with this core compared to his rookie counterparts in the preseason. With time, Murray should be able to find his niche.
At this point, he doesn’t look to be ready to play with the “varsity squad,” of the Denver Nuggets.
Once Harris comes back, Murray will be able to return to the bench where he fits a lot better as of right now.
For what it is worth, Murray did show some signs of being a very good passer even though he went 0-8 from the field and 0-4 from three. He had several key passes down the stretch to bigs for open opportunities.
Even though the game did not go his way, this was Murray’s first chance to see extended minutes, and it should not be taken into too much consideration when talked about.
